Welcome to the PARIS AÏKIDO CLUB website

History :

Created in 1969 by Roger Richaud the Paris Aikido Club was first located on rue Montorgeuil. Since 1985 the club is now situated in the heart of the latin quartier in the 5th arrondissement of Paris.

The original instructor was M.Reverchon, until 1974 where the technical direction of the PAC was then passed over to Roger Richaud. The club was presided by Jean-pierre Rodier. From 1985 until 1993 the head instructor was Nanou CHAMP.

Finally from 1993 onwards, two former students, Anne Ducouret and Arnaud Chiniard have been appointed instructors. Since the 2002/2003 season, Arnaud Chiniard has taken leadership of the Paris Aikido Club.

Today :

The association is affiliated with the Office du Mouvement Sportif (Ex-Office Municipal des Sports) in the 5th Arrondissement of Paris n° 05/6604. It is officially recognized as a sports association by the Ministère des Sports (agreement N° 75.SVF.04.06).

Currently, we have more than 100 members in our association. Classes are given to children from the age of 6 onwards, as well as to as adults, whatever their age. In order to offer more classes and flexibility with class times (especially to accommodate the childrens classes), in 2004 the PAC hired a new instructor: Matthieu Caillat.

The association regularly sends its students to dan grading examinations. The future instructors are also tutored during their training. Two of them have now become intructors, Renaud Vergnais and Mathieu Perona.
